                                                 Urgent Request!

TO: ALL OUR OES MISSISSIPPI MEMBERS

In August of 2005 Hurricane Katrina hit Mississippi.  Now in August of 2017 Hurricane Harvey has hit the Houston, Texas area and caused major damage and flooding.

If you have watched the news you know the situation and the devastation caused.   I have reached out to Sister Melissa Hudman, Worthy Grand Matron of Texas, and asked how Mississippi could help.

She asked for our prayers for the people in Rockport and the surrounding area of Houston that were hit so hard.  There is a vast area affected by Hurricane Harvey.  It is now our turn to help our sisters and brothers in Texas.

We are asking each chapter to make a donation to the Grand Chapter of MS for the Texas OES Relief Fund.  Please do this as soon as possible. The fastest way to help is by a monetary donation.  That way the Grand Chapter of Texas can disburse as needed.  It is our obligation to help.

Please make your checks payable to Grand Chapter of MS and send checks to:

Marie Smith, Grand Secretary

Grand Chapter of the State of MS

5684 Valley Road

Meridian, MS  39307

Thank you for your willingness to help when called upon.

With love always,

Beth Anderson

Worthy Grand Matron

IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO OUR OES MEMBERS

TO: Our OES Members

In August of 2005 Hurricane Katrina hit Mississippi.  Now in August of 2017 Hurricane Harvey has hit the Houston, Texas area and caused major damage and flooding.

If you have watched the news you know the situation and the devastation caused.   I have reached out to Sister Melissa Hudman, Worthy Grand Matron of Texas, and asked how Mississippi could help.  She said right now she covets our prayers for the people in Rockport and the surrounding area of Houston that were hit so hard.  She told me she was unsure if the chapter in Rockport is still standing.  She was unable to get in touch with anyone for a report.  She said she would get back to me later with a suggestion on how we could help our sisters and brothers in the area damaged.

Please do what the WGM of Texas has asked...pray for our sisters and brothers in Texas.  Mississippians understand what a Hurricane can do...don't we?

With love always,

Beth Anderson

Worthy Grand Matron

Well, all 12 Schools of Instructions have now been completed statewide.  Each school was special in its own way.  These schools are a tool to help our membership learn the proper way of exemplifying our work.  Brother John J. and I thank each district for inviting us into their district and welcoming us with their generous hospitality.  Many thanks to our District Deputy Grand Matrons who worked so hard to put these schools together for all concerned.  We appreciate the great turnouts...and as we now move on to our Official Visits in each district, we ask for your continued support.

At Official Visits we will be honoring individual Grand Family members and thanking our DDGMs for their dedications to our Order.  We ask that you attend these Official Visits and show The our Grand Family and the DDGMs how much they are appreciated for their service to our Order.

It is indeed an honor to serve our membership as WGM and WGP this year...and we look forward to seeing each of you at the Official Visits.

Thank you for your kindness,

Beth Anderson, WGM

John J. McCarver, WGP
